The Serai

The Serai is an eco-lodge on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, north of Essaouira, run by Mark. Built from rock, earth and lime between two fishing and farming communities, it offers ecological experiences for groups and families and supports The Fertile Roots Foundation, a UK non-profit focused on regenerative agriculture.

Mark found us online and we worked together remotely.

The brief

Mark knew what he wanted and had a modest budget: a static site where he could describe the Serai and share photos of the place. It also had to work in two languages, English and Spanish.

What we did

• Built a simple static site in WordPress and Elementor
• Chose a colour scheme that lets the photography lead
• Added a gallery to balance the more text-heavy pages
• Set up an availability system so guests can check dates and then get in touch to confirm
• Installed a multilingual setup and translated the full site into Spanish by hand

The result

The Serai has a clear, image-led website in both languages that shows guests what makes the place special. We still help Mark with changes to the site whenever he needs them.
