The Contemplative Consciousness Network (CCN), now part of Samadhi, approached this project with the goal of preserving and presenting over a decade’s worth of contemplative teachings, events, and resources in an elegant, accessible format. The challenge was to create a space that honours CCN’s long-standing legacy under Lama Alan Wallace while guiding visitors towards the future vision under Samadhi’s stewardship. The result is a calm, intuitive, and informative digital home that bridges the two communities and provides a clear path to learning, practice, and connection.
The project began with a thorough review of CCN’s content library and the requirements for merging it into Samadhi’s ecosystem. The next stage involved structuring the sitemap around three pillars of activity—Explore, Deepen, and Support—to guide users toward meaningful actions. After wireframing and content migration, the site was refined for responsiveness, accessibility, and performance. The tone, visuals, and flow were all tested to reflect the contemplative nature of the organisation.
Accessibility was central to the design. The site follows WCAG 2.1 guidelines with descriptive alt text, readable font contrast, and keyboard-friendly navigation. Performance was optimised through lightweight coding, compressed images, and caching strategies, resulting in a 92+ PageSpeed score and a smooth user experience across devices. SEO improvements included optimised meta titles, schema markup for teachers and courses, and keyword targeting around mindfulness, contemplative practice, and Buddhist teachings, contributing to a steady 25% increase in organic visits within the first quarter.
